Born in 1975, Italian, in the web business since 2000, Brussels-based since end 2003, father since 2009.
Holding a University degree in Communication studies (Trieste, 1999), I started as a web editor and journalist before eventually moving to web design and, especially later on in Belgium, to development and consultancy, frequently managing small to medium teams of professionals and trainees.
now
Starting from April 2011 I work as an IT consultant for Arηs development covering the position of Software Architect at the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion of the European Commission on the ESP-DESIS-II framework contract.
My experience at the EC began in 2008 as a web developer and consultant at Intrasoft International SA within the EURESIN consortium, which manages the development, update and maintenance of the EUROPA website as well as other online and offline products for the Directorate General Communication of the European Commission. My tasks consisted of Documentum XSLT and generic web development, training, technical analysis and testing, co-ordination and documentation, after seven months spent at the DG COMM in charge of the EC Representations Helpdesk.
My main achievements as a lead web developer are the EUROPA web portal (2009), the European External Action Service website (2010), President Barroso's and the Commissioners' websites (2010), EU News (2010), the Summaries of EU legislation website (2009); I contributed to the development of the European Commission website.
Fabio is a determined, skilful and committed professional with whom I had the pleasure to work in the EC. He has the ability of building strong relationships between co-workers. I recognize competence and a high degree of reliability as his major skills. He is an excellent member to have on a team

Fabio has been the "chief webdeveloper" for our project with Euresin to build the new European External Action Service website. He has shown to be a real magician who has always found a solution or fix whatever the problem was and in the shortest time possible! It's been a real pleasure to work with him

Plus several EU-related, NGOs and commercial projects.
In the past I contributed to successful - and award-winning - editorial initiatives on the web, as a managing editor, editor in chief, journalist, designer, developer, lecturer and trainer.
